Yeah, you read that right.

This will not be just your typical run of the mill boring as all H-E-C-K blog that you’ll never read unless it’s your job. Nah-uh!

This blog will be my thoughts on…(Michael Scott Drumroll, please….bllllllllll)

…stuff.

Stuff?

Specifically “marketing” stuff. You know…marketing. It’s the stuff that says:

Your soul will become his shoe’s sole. You think he’s scary, imagine the stuff on the soles of his shoes? YEESH-EEZY!

I believe that ALL of us are marketers. Even if we don’t work in it professionally. We are marketed to on a near constant basis, 24/7,  maybe even when we don’t know it.

Therefore, we should be able to know marketing when we see it. And we should be able to identify the message, what it means, and how it affects us.

Because if we know more about it, then maybe we can make a better, more informed buying decision. And maybe that will help save us some hard-earned bucks so we can use that money towards something more beneficial or less wasteful, instead of putting it right back into the scary monster’s pockets.

That’s what I’d like to write about in this blog, because it’s what I do professionally. But wait…if I work in marketing, then why would I write about marketing, warts and all, the good and the bad parts of it?

Because I want to create marketing for other businesses and companies on a freelance basis. I want to business owners develop marketing that makes sense for them. We can have a nice symbiosis between good marketing and happy consumers because we need both for the vicious cycle to work. So it’s selfish reasons, but with good intentions.

I am an expert in the sense that I receive compensation, benefits, and insurance in exchange helping companies make money.

How did I do it?

That’s simple…by unleashing gnarly blunt-smoking monsters who order you to buy their stuff.

Just kidding. I create marketing. Therefore, I know the rules of The Game, and how it’s played. And I want to help others learn The Game.

Maybe you are interested in marketing for your business or you’re just curious about why certain products are advertised in certain ways. These are the questions I can answer to help you become a marketing expert to help your business or just save you some hard-earned bucks.

I’m writing this blog for myself, as well. Yes, I am doing it for selfish reasons. I am writing this blog to force me to get better at writing and communicating. Because I write and communicate in my day job, but I want to do more of it for other companies. Why would I want to spend my precious free time blogging about marketing and doing more marketing for other companies? Because I pride myself on being a problem solver and I like to help people. Or…at least I will put in the effort and try. Maybe I won’t have all the right answers, but they won’t all be wrong, either!

Writing this blog is my way of both improving my own game but also helping others. And…maybe making some bucks doing it or finding new, untold of opportunities.  Who knows what lies out there in the deepest, darkest parts of the Internet?
