What do you do with your great ideas?

Sometimes, you only need to listen to yourself. Because nobody wants to talk to you at the networking event.
Have you ever thought of a great idea (in your opinion, at least…and let’s face it, sometimes that’s ALL that matters) only to hear, “That already exists.”
That happened to me once. I thought I invented the number eight.
This was before the Internet and before I had a firm grasp on numbers and their significance. I was young, like age 2ish or MAYBE 4ish…I dunno it’s been a while.
But when you come up with an idea, such as a new product, service, or a different/happier YOU, only to find out “it’s been done before“, do you:
- Give up and let your dream die, or
- Respond with, “Oh REALLY? GREAT! I will check them out and then do it better than they ever could!”
If you chose #2 then you need a course of action. OK…what is that?
That’s on you to figure out. I don’t know what your dream is. Only you do.
My course of action? You’re reading it. I get my blog on, dawg! That’s how I learn The Game and sharpen my grind because I need my swag sharp when it’s my time to ball.
I will conclude this blog post with an important bolded sentence.
Ideas are only as useful as the action created.
