Why I Started My New Company: World Home Services AI, LLC

The Idea Hunters dot net_ World Home Services AI LLC James K Kim MBA Jim Owner blog post

After reading Napoleon Hill’s classic Think and Grow Rich a few years ago, I came to an important realization:

I have a burning desire to own a successful business benefiting many people worldwide forever.

Hill describes that kind of burning desire as the starting point of achievement.

In other words:

An intense focus on a specific goal that motivates a person to keep moving toward it.

Yup, sounds about right!

But in order to achieve that goal, I wanted to build something bigger than a job, bigger than a website, and bigger than a side project.

I’ve done all of those, and they have taught me a tremendous amount. I had a lot of fun, made some bucks…but I feel like the best is yet to come, know what I am saying?

After putting down Nappy Hill’s tome of manifestation through good old-fashioned hard work, a willingness to learn, and a burning desire to succeed no matter what, I knew I wanted to think and grow bigger.

And to slay that beast, I needed to build a company.

For starters, I needed to form a legal business entity.

In my case, a Limited Liability Company, or LLC for shortskis.

Once I had that set up, which I did online through Doola, it was time to build my company’s website.

For that, I used GetResponse.

I’ve been a GetResponse user for almost 10 years. It is an email marketing and online business platform I already use for my blog, my online business, and JimKHVAC.com, my HVAC sales training platform.

How My Experience Came Together

For much of my life, I have worked in different industries, held different roles, learned different skills, met different kinds of people, and accumulated experiences that did not always appear connected at the time.

Throughout my post-college working career, I have held a diverse array of job titles that gave me valuable experience, business knowledge, and improved pattern recognition abilities.

A quick look at my LinkedIn work history includes jobs such as:

  • Inside Sales Representative
  • Marketing Copywriter
  • Retail Sales Associate
  • Software Programmer
  • Restaurant Line Cook
  • Delivery Driver
  • Commercial Real Estate Sales Agent
  • HVAC Comfort Consultant

Individually, none of those experiences are particularly unusual.

They are regular jobs that taught me different pieces of how people, businesses, customers, properties, money, technology, and relationships actually work.

Some of the useful skills and experience I picked up along the way include:

  • Learning how to build websites that help potential and current customers connect with businesses
  • Working with homeowners to make logical decisions between the indoor comfort they desire and the money they want to keep
  • Developing professional referral relationships with licensed, insured, and experienced home service contractors
  • Learning how people make purchasing decisions when real money, real homes, and real problems are involved
  • Understanding how marketing, sales, customer service, technology, and relationships can work together

Every sale, challenging situation, completed project, contractor relationship, and lesson became another piece of knowledge that could eventually be organized into something larger.

World Home Services AI, LLC is where those pieces now come together.

Give our new website a look at:

www.WorldHomeServicesAI.com

And while you’re there, be sure to give Uncle Jimmy, Your AI Home Services Consultant, a try.

Ask him about a home project you are envisioning in your mind’s eye and see whether he can help you better understand the project, figure out your next step, or perhaps even know somebody who can do the job.

Wait…What Gives Me the Authority To Even Build Such a Thing?!

You mean besides having an MBA, which indicates to most professionally minded people that I probably know at least a thing or two about business?

I mean, I personally have:

Over time, I began to realize that none of those experiences had to be wasted.

Every job taught me something.

Every customer taught me something.

Every homeowner interaction taught me something.

Every contractor relationship taught me something.

And the particular combination of all of those experiences is mine.

Building Something That Matters

Over the past few years, as I learned how to be a better HVAC comfort consultant, I began asking myself a bigger question:

What can I build that contributes something meaningful to other people?

My answer is World Home Services AI, LLC.

A construction and real estate development company has the potential to create things that are tangible and lasting, such as:

  • Homes
  • Buildings
  • Communities
  • Businesses
  • Employment
  • Opportunities
  • Relationships
  • Knowledge
  • Technology
  • Better ways for homeowners and contractors to find one another and work together

Those are real things.

There is something powerful about the idea that decades from now, somebody could potentially stand inside a building or live in a property developed by this company and have absolutely no idea who I was.

That is fine.

The contribution would still exist.

Something useful would have been built. Something that improved a property, created an opportunity, helped a business, housed a family, or otherwise made better use of the physical world around us.

That matters to me. Hence, why I started my company, World Home Services AI, LLC or simply “World Home Services AI”.

Why World Home Services AI Is Bigger Than a Website

The website is not the company.

The AI chatbot is not the company.

The Preferred Trade Partner Network is not the company.

The We’re Getting Multiple Quotes podcast is not the company.

The content is not the company.

Rather, they are all pieces of an ecosystem being built around a much larger vision.

World Home Services AI is being built as a technology-first construction and real estate development company.

Today, that begins with information.

Think about a homeowner who has a problem, limitation, idea, or project involving their property.

Something exists that they want changed.

Something does not exist yet that they would like to create.

And they may have no idea where to begin.

They may not even know what kind of contractor they need.

They may not understand the terminology.

They may not know what questions to ask.

They may not know whether something is urgent, expensive, complicated, or relatively simple.

And that is where Uncle Jimmy comes in.

Uncle Jimmy, Your AI Home Services Consultant at World Home Services AI, is being trained and refined to help homeowners understand what they are dealing with, prepare before contacting a contractor, recognize common mistakes, better understand real estate and property concepts, and connect with trusted professionals when appropriate.

That can be far more useful than simply operating another contractor directory filled with everybody, would you agree?

Because the goal is to create a layer of intelligence between:

“I have a problem with my property.”

and

“I need to hire somebody.”

Turning Experience Into an Asset

One of the most important ideas behind World Home Services AI is that valuable experience and knowledge should not disappear with the person who acquired it.

Because most people accumulate enormous amounts of knowledge throughout their careers, would you agree?

But then…much of it simply stays in their heads.

And eventually, some of it disappears with them.

I want to do something different.

I want to turn experience into infrastructure.

Here’s what I’m thinking:

  • My HVAC sales experience becomes homeowner education.
  • My marketing experience becomes brand development and distribution.
  • My real estate knowledge becomes property and investment education.
  • My contractor relationships become the Preferred Trade Partner Network.
  • My writing becomes training material.
  • My online business experience becomes systems.
  • My customer service background shapes the way homeowners are treated.
  • My mistakes become warnings.
  • My successes become repeatable processes.
  • My observations become knowledge.

The philosophy is simple:

Nothing I learn gets wasted.

If it can help somebody else, I want to turn it into training, education, systems, or useful information that can be made available to people worldwide online.

It simply gets fed into the machine.

And that machine…

is World Home Services AI.

Make sense?

The Preferred Trade Partner Network

Another important part of the long-term vision is the World Home Services AI Preferred Trade Partner Network.

I do not want to create a giant anonymous directory filled with thousands of contractors I know nothing about.

I want to build a curated network of professionals I know, trust, and believe have demonstrated an ability to get the job done and treat their clients right.

If World Home Services AI recommends someone, there should be a reason.

The network should grow through actual relationships, conversations, reputation, demonstrated professionalism, and trust.

The goal is not simply to generate leads.

The goal is to build an ecosystem where homeowners can find good professionals, contractors can benefit from quality referrals and increased visibility, and World Home Services AI can become a trusted connection point between the two.

Everybody should benefit.

Homeowners receive better information and better options.

Contractors receive opportunities and exposure.

World Home Services AI strengthens its network.

“Everybody wins if everybody works.” — Uncle Jimmy

Media, Education, and Relationships

Media will also serve as an important growth engine for the company.

The official World Home Services AI podcast, We’re Getting Multiple Quotes, is designed to create conversations with contractors, tradespeople, real estate professionals, business owners, Preferred Trade Partners, and other people connected to the home services and real estate world.

Those conversations can become much more than entertainment.

They can:

  • create business relationships
  • generate education
  • produce useful content
  • introduce homeowners to the people behind local home service businesses
  • strengthen the Preferred Trade Partner Network
  • create additional knowledge that can improve Uncle Jimmy

One conversation can create multiple assets.

A podcast interview can become education, content, relationships, visibility, knowledge, and potentially even future business opportunities.

That is the kind of compounding I can see happening throughout the company.

Can you?

Construction and Real Estate Development…Really?

The technology and media components are the beginning, not the end.

The long term vision remains crystal clear:

World Home Services AI, LLC is being built as a technology-first construction and real estate development company.

Eventually, I want the company directly involved in acquiring, improving, building, and developing real property for real.

That could include:

  • renovation
  • redevelopment
  • investment properties
  • housing
  • acquisitions
  • construction projects
  • partnerships
  • development opportunities

The exact opportunities will evolve.

However, the main direction is clear as day.

The company should ultimately be capable of:

  • identifying an opportunity
  • understanding the property
  • assembling the right professionals
  • securing or arranging financing
  • executing the work
  • improving the asset
  • creating long term value

Technology makes the company smarter.

Relationships make the company stronger.

Construction makes the company tangible.

Real estate development gives the company scale.

Don’t believe I can do it?

Well, I’ve already been doing it on a smaller scale, slowly, but surely.

And the more I learn, the more I want to know.

Know what I mean?

No?

Okay, well…

(*Dramatic pause)

Watch me.

Why I Work on It Every Day

I believe businesses compound when the work compounds.

That is why I try to lay one brick every day.

Some days the brick is obvious:

  • A new Preferred Trade Partner for Uncle Jimmy to refer.
  • A new podcast guest.
  • A new business relationship.
  • A new property opportunity.

Other days the brick is much smaller:

  • Training Uncle Jimmy.
  • Writing a knowledge document.
  • Fixing a webpage.
  • Improving a logo.
  • Learning something about financing.
  • Creating a contractor profile.
  • Writing an article.
  • Making one introduction.
  • Sending one email.

Those actions may look insignificant individually.

They are not insignificant if they are all being added to the same structure.

Brick.

Brick.

Brick.

Eventually, there is a wall.

Then a building.

Then an organization.

Then, potentially, something far larger.

That is how I think about World Home Services AI.

I am not trying to create a short burst of activity.

I am trying to create accumulated momentum.

The Company Is a Mission (…but NOT my entire identity, though!)

Sure, World Home Services AI gives me purpose.

And yeah, it also gives my work direction.

And I suppose it gives me something substantial to build.

But I also understand that the company cannot become the only load-bearing wall in my life.

Businesses have bad months.

Deals collapse.

Technology fails.

Websites refuse to publish.

Plans change.

And there will be days when family responsibilities, health, or life itself demands more of my attention.

That does not mean the mission has stopped.

It means I have to take care of the person carrying it.

That person is me. (Jim, owner of World Home Services AI, LLC. How are ya?)

If the company becomes my entire identity, every business problem becomes a personal crisis.

That is obviously not sustainable.

The company should be a major mission in my life, but I still need to remain a complete human being outside of it, know what I am saying?

So yeah, I will be on the grind building up my company, but I will also be sure to reserve energy and time in my days for other important things such as:

Those things do not interfere with building the company.

They maintain the person who is building it.

World Home Services AI is the mission. Jim is the foundation.

Capisce?

The Long Term Vision

I am deliberately thinking big.

I do not want World Home Services AI to remain a small website, local referral network, or chatbot.

I want to build a substantial organization.

A company:

  • operating across markets
  • involved in construction, real estate ownership, and development
  • using artificial intelligence intelligently rather than simply using the term as marketing
  • building relationships with excellent tradespeople
  • helping homeowners make better decisions
  • producing professional HVAC sales training
  • creating media
  • developing useful structures for public and private use
  • creating jobs
  • growing meaningful assets and continuing to evolve long after I eventually step aside from the helm

The phrase “global company” may sound absurd when you are at the beginning.

Every large organization began when it was small.

The relevant question is not whether World Home Services AI is massive today.

It obviously is not.

The question is whether the decisions being made today create the foundation for something that can become significantly larger tomorrow.

That is what I am working on.

After all, I just started, can I get a minute? SHEESH!

The Philosophy

I do not need every step of the next 20+ years of my working career figured out today.

Instead, I need to keep moving.

If one path is temporarily blocked, then I work on another.

If the website is down, then I improve the product.

If there is no deal today, then I strengthen the network.

If there is no customer today, then I create knowledge to share with others seeking it.

If an idea fails, I learn from it.

If something works, I systemize it.

I will keep laying bricks, accumulating knowledge, meeting interesting business-minded people, building assets, and creating value both monetarily and spiritually.

I do that long enough and something substantial begins to exist.

That is why I started World Home Services AI, LLC.

I wanted something worth building fueled by a burning desire to own a successful business benefiting many people worldwide forever.

Something that brings together everything I have learned.

Something capable of helping people.

Something capable of creating real physical value in the world.

Something capable of growing far beyond what it is today.

And something I can spend the next chapter of my life building one brick at a time. Or should I say…

(*Cue tagline)

One prompt. A world of solutions.

(*Cut to black. Audience goes freakin’ bananas!)
